I recently shared a recipe to make the most delicious Cranberry Orange Sauce, and now I'm enjoying all the fun ways to use it up. This recipe is perfect for a holiday brunch, the morning after Thanksgiving, or a festive light breakfast, and of course, it's a delightful make-ahead option to prepare for guests.

Why You'll Love This Recipe

  • It’s the perfect balance of flavors: Creamy yogurt, tart cranberry sauce, and crunchy granola create a combination that’s both refreshing and satisfying.
  • A great way to use leftover cranberry sauce: Transforms your homemade cranberry sauce into something new and exciting.
  • Quick and easy to assemble: No cooking required; just layer and serve in minutes.
  • Customizable to your taste: Use your favorite yogurt, granola, and adjust sweetness to create your perfect parfait.

Equipment

  • Spoon
  • Serving glasses or jars

Ingredients

Cranberry parfaits ingredients on a white surface.
  • Yogurt: Use your favorite type of plain or vanilla yogurt. My go-to is plain Greek yogurt since the cranberry sauce adds a lot of sweetness.
  • Cranberry Sauce: You can use store bought cranberry sauce or try my cranberry orange sauce recipe if you want to make the parfaits absolutely amazing! The flavor is so much better than the canned kind and is ready in only 15 minutes.
  • Granola: Use store bought granola or make your own with this easy granola recipe. I bet you already have most of the ingredients in your pantry to make it from scratch.

See recipe card for quantities.

Instructions

Layering yogurt into a glass jar with a spoon.
  • Step 1: Spoon 2–3 tablespoons yogurt into the bottom of each glass.

Tips to Make the Best Cranberry Sauce Granola Parfaits

  • Use thick, creamy yogurt for the best texture: Greek yogurt works beautifully because it holds its shape and creates clean, defined layers.
  • Layer just before serving for maximum crunch: Granola can soften quickly, so add it right before serving to keep that crisp, bakery-style texture.
  • Balance the sweetness and tartness: If your cranberry sauce is very tart, use slightly sweetened or vanilla yogurt to create a perfect balance.
  • Chill the cranberry sauce beforehand: Cold cranberry sauce thickens and holds its shape better, making your parfait layers look more defined and polished.
  • Use clear glasses for a beautiful presentation: Seeing the layers of creamy yogurt, vibrant cranberry sauce, and golden granola makes the parfait feel extra special.

How to Serve & Pair

These cranberry sauce granola parfaits can be served fresh or chilled. If you plan to make them ahead of serving, just save the granola layer to top the parfaits when you are ready to enjoy.

How To Serve

  • Serve in clear glass jars or cups: This highlights the vibrant layers of yogurt, cranberry sauce, and granola for a beautiful presentation.
  • Add toppings just before serving: Finish with a sprinkle of granola, fresh orange zest, or a drizzle of honey for extra flavor and texture.
  • Serve chilled: Cold yogurt and cranberry sauce create the best contrast and refreshing flavor.
  • Individual portions or family-style: Serve as individual parfaits or set up a “build-your-own” parfait bar for guests.

Pairing Ideas

  • Warm brunch dishes: Pair with pancakes, waffles, or French toast for a balanced sweet and fresh contrast.
  • Savory brunch options: Serve alongside egg dishes, quiche, or breakfast casseroles to add brightness to the meal.
  • Light beverages: Complements coffee, lattes, or a citrus spritzer beautifully.
  • Holiday spreads: A perfect addition to Thanksgiving or Christmas morning brunch with pastries and fresh fruit.

Here are some elevated variations for a few fun twists on this recipe:

  • Orange Vanilla Cream: Mix ½ teaspoon vanilla extract + ½ teaspoon orange zest into the yogurt before layering
  • Toasted Coconut Coastal Version: Add a tablespoon of toasted coconut between layers for texture and subtle sweetness.
  • Nutty Crunch Version: Stir chopped pistachios or pecans into the granola layer.
  • Honey Almond Elegance: Add sliced almonds and drizzle with orange blossom honey.
